Admission

These rates are for school groups of a minimum of 10 and apply from 1 August 2010.

Child - £3.50
Student - £5
Accompanying Adult - Free (within supervision ratio - see below)
Additional Adult - £5.50
Under Fives - Free
York schools and residents with a York Card - Free

Supervision

Accompanying adults within our supervision ratios receive free admission. We request that school groups stick to the following ratios:
Nursery - One adult per four children
Key Stage 1 & 2 - One adult per six children
Key Stage 3 & 4 - One adult per 10 students

Preliminary visits

We recommend that group organisers make a preliminary visit to discuss their visit with the learning team. Teachers receive a free family ticket for their preliminary visit.

Health and Safety

Our health and safety policy for groups is sent out to all booked groups. We can give guidance to teachers carrying out their own Risk Assessments.

Lunch Spaces

We have a new bookable lunch space, the "Diner-Saurus" and in fine weather, the Museum Gardens are ideal for picnics.

Coach Parking

Unfortunately there is no coach parking or drop-off points available at our site. Coaches are recommended to make use of the coach parks in the city centre. Click here for more information about coach parks in the city. Under certain circumstances, coaches can drop-off outside our sites - ask for information when making your booking.
